Next Trash Holiday:  Labor Day on Monday, September 7th

We will be closed for Labor Day on Monday, September 7th.  All customers will be on the holiday schedule.

We are expecting extreme heat temperatures, most likely not for the last time this summer.  If the forecast calls for dangerous temperatures, our routes may change so that they can be completed before the hottest parts of the day.  Please have your trash out the night before your scheduled pickup day.  “To be sure, put it out the night before!”

Econ Summer Hours:  Our office hours are Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Fireworks Safety Disposal: If you are planning to enjoy fireworks this summer, remember these safety disposal tips: Soak, Drain, Trash.  Keep a bucket of water on standby, then at the end of your fireworks display, put the used fireworks into the water to soak overnight.  This will keep them from re-lighting or accidentally discharging.  The next day, drain the water, bag up the fireworks scraps, and put it in your Econ can for safe and effective disposal.

Holiday Pickup Schedule

We will be closed on the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day: Friday, January 1, 2027
  • Memorial Day: Monday, May 31, 2027
  • Independence Day: Sunday, July 4, 2027 – No change in schedule!
  • Labor Day: Monday, September 7, 2026
  • Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 26, 2026
  • Christmas Day: Friday, December 25, 2026

If one of the above holidays falls on or before your pickup day, your pickup will be delayed by one day. If the holiday falls on a weekend (Saturday/Sunday), there will be no delays that week and all pickup will be on the regular schedule. If the holiday is on a Monday, the pickup schedule will go as follows:

  • Monday customers are picked up Tuesday
  • Tuesday customer are picked up Wednesday
  • Wednesday customers are picked up Thursday
  • Thursday customers are picked up Friday
  • Friday customers are picked up Saturday

Please have your trash out the night before, especially during holiday weeks! Route times are subject to change at any time, but are especially effected during schedule changes.
